I never lock doors. Not my car, not my house. Now that you know this, I should probably start. I grew up in what I always considered to be a pretty rural area, not farmland rural but, can’t walk to your friends house, rural. As such, I never really felt the need to lock my doors. After all, for someone to rob the house they would have to drive up a mile long driveway with a truck, load it with shit, and drive off. It’s not like they could just stroll down the street carrying my tv. Since those days, I have moved quite a few times but the habit never left me. Naps are Super Good.
I have long been criticized by whomever I am with at the time (girlfriend, roommate, parents, whoever) for my love of the good old fashioned afternoon nap. I have been one to take naps after work, or school, for as long as I can remember. A lot of people think I am just extremely lazy, or that I should work out more, or some other such thing in order to combat my desire to nap. The problem is, I don’t always nap because I am tired, I nap because I truly enjoy a nice afternoon snooze. What’s so bad about cubicles?
For so many years I have heard people make fun of cubicles and the people who inhabit them. Everything from TV shows to comic strips have long loved to insult the ever hated cube. Even the people working in them yearn for that corner office to escape the “cubicle monkey” namesake. I for one, don’t really get it. In my relatively short career I have worked at 3 different companies across 5 different office buildings and I have yet to find a cubicle I don’t enjoy. Have I just been lucky? Windows Vista, It Doesn’t Suck
I have been using Windows Vista for about a year now and while originally I was on the “Vista Sucks” bandwagon, I have since come to like it. I am going to try to explain why, as a long time computer user, I think Vista, doesn’t suck. Online behavior, hiding behind the keyboard
You know, one of my favorite pastimes is arguing with people over the intertubes. I’m not sure why but it’s always fun to verbally assault people when there is no risk or repercussion. I have to say though, that recently I feel this once fun pastime has taken a turn for the worst. I feel like almost everyone on the internet is a guy like this: I have spent a lot of time on message forums, IRC, online games, and where ever else you can chat with people online over the years. It seems though, that as the generation of kids after my generation is beginning to mature, absolute ignorance is beginning to run incredibly rampant online.
